testo 552 is a digital pressure gauge for vacuum suction of heat pumps and cooling systems. Its robust construction makes it ideal for daily use, protected against dirt and water. The instrument provides very precise information on the degree of dehumidification and removal of foreign substances (oils, foreign gases, etc.) of a system. Since the testo 552 uses an absolute pressure sensor, it is also practically maintenance-free, unlike vacuum meters with other sensor technology.

Via a Bluetooth interface, the testo 552 can connect to the testo Smart app on your smartphone or tablet. It makes it possible to monitor the absolute pressure value obtained during vacuum suction – conveniently and wirelessly. In addition, measurement results can be quickly documented in the app and sent by email.

Vacuum extraction is one of the most important steps in the installation or restart of cooling and heat pump systems: foreign gases, moisture and oils must be eliminated.

This is exactly what the testo 552 digital vacuum meter is designed to do: the meter gives you very precise information about the dehumidification status of the system and can measure very low absolute pressures reliably. This means you can always follow the manufacturer’s specifications. A visual alarm immediately warns when a limit value has been exceeded.

Since the digital vacuum gauge is IP42 rated (waterproof and dirt-resistant), it is virtually impervious to moisture and dirt.

The practical pressure sensor testo 549i is part of the 2nd generation of the testo SmartProbes series with, among other things, up to 100 m Bluetooth range. It is used in combination with a smartphone or tablet. It is suitable for servicing, troubleshooting and installing cooling and heat pump systems.

The sensor can be quickly and easily connected directly to the pressure connection, thanks to the 45° angle. When working with pressure connections that are far apart, the testo 549i makes work much easier – thanks to the wireless transmission of measurement data to a smartphone or tablet. Since no hoses are needed for the measurements, the loss of refrigerant is minimal.

More convenient measurement thanks to the app

The user can conveniently read the measured values in the free app downloaded to a smartphone or tablet. In combination with the pipe temperature sensor testo 115i, individual system parameters such as e.g. overheating is also calculated. The app also enables automatic calculation of evaporating and condensing temperatures.

All measurement data are presented either as a graph or in tabular form. Measurement results can then be sent directly as PDF or Excel files.

The testo 511 is normally used to measure absolute pressure, e.g. for density compensation in flow measurement in ducts, laboratories and production processes. Other measurement parameters are barometric pressure (= air pressure at sea level) and altitude. 8 pressure units can be selected.
