The mobile compressed air flow transmitter testo 6448 is used for the determination, monitoring, control and reporting of compressed air consumption and thus for the determination of leakage in compressed air systems, as well as consumption-based cost allocation and peak load management.

  • Measures flow velocity (m/s) in the measuring range 0…80 m/s or 160 m/s, consumption measurement in Nm³ and median temperature in °C.
  • The backstop and ball valve ensure quick and safe installation and de-installation of the compressed air sensor on site. This means that several sites can be covered by one sensor.
  • Maximum flexibility thanks to different signal outputs:
    – Analog output 4 to 20 mA (4-wire)
    – Pulse output
    – 2 binary outputs (parameterizable: consumption- or volume flow-dependent, opening, closing, hysteresis, window)

The probe is optimized for easy, safe and quick installation and can be used for measurements on different pipe diameters. An optimal drilling clamp enables precise positioning of the sensor without the need for welding.

The respective supply line may remain under pressure when installing this drill clamp or during maintenance / replacement of the sensor (normal operating conditions). A ball valve allows the compressed air line to be closed securely and airtight when removing the sensor and when reinstalling it.
