When laying asphalt, the core temperature of the asphalt needs to be at an optimal temperature, which you can easily check with the handheld IR thermometer and the robust plug-in sensor in this measuring set.

Resilient fast surface temperature sensor, waterproof immersion sensor or e.g. a versatile wire sensor are some of the sensors available. Using an external surface temperature sensor, the emission factor can be adjusted for a specific material. On “difficult” surfaces, you can apply emission tape and then measure the surface temperature of the tape’s surface with the IR temperature sensor. A very flexible and useful instrument that fits in any toolbox.
