Has your Celsicom logger lost connection?

Our loggers in the Celsicom Easy Connect product series use NB-IoT technology and send all measurement data via their own reliable frequency in the mobile network. Temporary disruptions may occur, but the loggers will reconnect as soon as they can. In exceptional cases, loggers, like any other technology, may lose connectivity. If you see in the Celsiview cloud service that a Celsicom logger has not been connected for a certain period of time, it may be time to restart or change the battery.
Here’s how to fix connectivity problems:
1. open the Celsicom logger. Check that everything seems OK. For example, that the batteries are not leaking, that the SIM card is correctly inserted in its holder and that the circuit board is not water damaged.

2. Restart the Celsicom logger. Note that it can sometimes take about 30 minutes for the logger to connect. There are two ways to do a restart:
On new Celsicom loggers, there is a restart button (labeled RST) between the batteries and the SIM card. When you press the button, you hear a short beep. The logger will now restart and try to connect to the mobile network. When you hear three beeps and see a green flashing light, the logger is connected. The faster the light flashes, the better the signal strength.
Do you have an older Celsicom logger without a restart button (RST)? Then remove the batteries, wait for at least 60 seconds and then put the batteries back in. You will hear a short beep, which means the logger is restarting and looking for the mobile network. Three beeps and a green flashing light then mean that the logger is connected.

3. does the logger not connect after a restart? Then it might be a good idea to change the batteries. Do not rely on the battery status of the logger in Celsiview. The battery capacity shown there is when the logger was last connected and does not tell you how the batteries are doing now. When new batteries are inserted, the logger will automatically restart and connect as described in the previous paragraph.
4. Once you have successfully connected the Celsicom logger , it is ready to start measuring immediately. Enter Celsiview to get a visual confirmation that the logger is connected and active.
