testo 830-T4 – IR thermometer with small measuring area and two-point laser

This IR thermometer can measure the temperature of small objects from large distances and is great if you need to keep longer distances from the objects. Unique to the testo 830-T4 is the combination of a small measurement area (30:1), low price, two-point laser and the ability to connect external temperature sensors. This set includes a mini air sensor for quick air temperature measurements (3-4 sec), but the testo 830-T4 is also compatible with other types of sensors (see under the Sensors tab). The IR thermometer thus measures both non-contact and with an external sensor, making it a versatile tool for many different applications. The two laser dots mark the top and bottom of the measuring spot, so you know exactly which surface you are measuring. The issue factor is freely adjustable from 0.2 to 1.00. The backlit display is easy to read even in difficult lighting conditions.

The testo 830-T4 is compatible with a wide range of external thermocouple sensors type K. Spring-loaded fast surface temperature sensors, waterproof immersion sensors or a versatile wire sensor are some of the sensors to choose from.

Using an external surface temperature sensor, you can set the emission factor for a specific material. On “difficult” surfaces, you can apply emission tape and then measure the temperature of the tape’s surface with the IR thermometer.
