testo 440 dP – Multi-instrument for ventilation / indoor climate with differential pressure

Use the testo 440 dP airflow and indoor climate meter in combination with high-quality sensors (and also testo SmartProbes) to measure and save all ventilation and indoor climate parameters (sensors ordered separately). Up to 3 sensors can be connected simultaneously: a Bluetooth sensor, a cable sensor and a temperature sensor with thermocouple connector type K. Thanks to automatic sensor detection and clearly structured measurement menus, the instrument is very easy to use and will make your daily measurement tasks much easier.

The testo 440 dP already has an integrated differential pressure sensor. Thanks to it, you can perform measurements on filters and fans, as well as with pitot tube (prandtl tube), measuring hook and with K-factor (pitot tube (prandtl tube), measuring hook ordered separately).

Measure with just a few clicks
Measuring
should be quick and easy – the testo 440 airflow and indoor climate meter automatically recognizes all connected sensors. This means that you never have to manually reset any measurement parameters when switching to another sensor. Clearly structured measurement menus for duct/vent volume flow, k-factor, turbulence degree, cooling/heating load, moisture damage risk indication and logging function. These menus allow you to complete measurement tasks faster, more efficiently and more reliably. Reports can be exported as Excel files via the USB interface or printed on site.

Cordless and compact – more applications, less equipment
Highly versatile: with universal handles that can be connected to any sensor, you can do more applications with less equipment while saving space in your toolbox.
The Bluetooth handle can transmit readings up to 20 meters, eliminating cable clutter and freeing up space in your tool bag. As a practical option, a cable handle is also available. This is a big advantage if Bluetooth signals are not allowed.

Practical data management
The multi-instrument can store up to a maximum of 7,500 measurement blocks which can be read out via a USB port and further processed as a CSV file on your computer (e.g. with Excel). With the Testo BLUETOOTH/IRDA printer (ordered separately), you can print a report with your measurement data directly on site.

Intelligent calibration concept for maximum accuracy
You can rely on accurate measurement results when using our digital sensors, as the measurement uncertainty in the instrument is now eliminated. You only need to send in the sensor part for calibration and continue using the multi-instrument itself.

Advantages and features of the testo 440 airflow and indoor climate meter

Accurate and reliable in channels and ducts

  • There is a wide range of sensors to choose from: hot wire and vane sensors for measurements in ducts, large Ø 100 mm vane sensors for measurements on wall and ceiling diffusers.
  • Quick calculation of the airflow: in the measurement menu, simply enter the dimensions and shape of the duct. The airflow is shown directly on the instrument display in either l/s or m3/h.
  • You will also discover how easy it is to measure on really big donors. That’s because the telescope on wire rope and flywheel sensors can be further extended with the telescope accessory – allowing you to extend the sensor to a total length of 2 meters.
  • Take measurements at high altitude without using a ladder. Connect the extendable telescopic sensor at a 90° angle to the sensor and, if necessary, also the telescopic accessory (both ordered separately).
  • Use the wing wheels in combination with Testo measuring nozzles over air diffusers and ventilation grilles.
  • Practical Bluetooth interface: use the airflow sensors without the hassle of cables. Simply press the button on the handle to, for example, start and stop a calculation of the time average at a particular measurement point.
  • Use the handy magnets to attach the multi-instrument to a metal surface (e.g. a ventilation duct).

Long-term measurement of indoor air quality

  • The right sensor for your requirements: sensors for CO2, CO, air temperature and humidity are available with Bluetooth or with a fixed cable.
  • Easy to use: enter the measurement time and interval in the long-term measurement menu and keep track throughout the day.
  • Internal memory for 7 500 measuring blocks.

Turbulence measurement complying with EN ISO 7730 / ASHRAE 55

  • Achieve high accuracy with a turbulence sensor, even at low air speeds.
  • Automatic calculation of drag and turbulence in accordance with EN ISO 7730/ASHRAE 55.
  • For practical measurements at different heights, we recommend our comfort level measurement stand. It makes it very easy to position the turbulence sensors in accordance with the applicable standards.

Sensors for cleanrooms and laboratories

  • Fume hood sensor for accurate measurements of air velocity in fume hoods
  • Thanks to its low initial velocity of 0.1 m/s, the high accuracy vane sensor (Ø 100 mm) is ideal for laminar flow measurements in clean rooms. The sensor is available with a fixed cable and with Bluetooth.
  • Highly accurate humidity/temperature sensor (0636 9771 or 0636 9772) with an accuracy of ±(0,6 %RH + 0,7 % of mv) in the range 0 … 90 %RH for measurements in clean rooms.
